I am still in the midst of contemplating for the change as it is really a great deal.

I read an article about Cutting Down Angsana Trees to ease traffic flow from a Penang Citizen who wrote to The Star Newspaper. We are currently facing global warming and also not planting enough trees. You thing the trees grows overnight just like that.

It is unfair, is there a price you can put in the ENVIRONMENT? Think again? We rely on them to produce Oxygen and filter the air. They also give us shade (at time does cause damage if a branch happends to break, that happens like your luck), give us green in nature and life. At times you complain hot when you are stuck in a Traffic Jam with no trees. Now tell me which one would you prefer.

This is what I wrote to The Star which was feature in the North Section today.

Cutting down angsana trees not the answer

REFERRING to the letter from Yeap Cheng Hock on ‘Chop down the angsana trees’ (StarMetro Dec 31), I understand the stress motorists feel when they’re stuck in traffic jams and aren’t able to make it home on time.

I can say that this is not the fault of the trees. However wide the road is, the traffic will eventually come to a bottleneck and cause massive jams and people cutting into other lanes.

All of us have to bear with traffic jams. The only way to avoid them is either go back early or late. There are two schools located along that road, making traffic even busier.

Why are we so selfish? Do you think that chopping down the trees will ease traffic? Why not adjust your time to avoid traffic? That is what most people in Kuala Lumpur are doing.

Cutting down angsana trees not the answer

Chapter 2 but no more Gwenyth

The last of Heath Ledger and I shall say the best. Can't Wait.

Another Movie by Jerry Bruckheimer with Nicholas Cage a movie to die for.

This is going to be such a fun movie to watch on 3D and Johnny Depp going into another movie character you would not imagine that suits him so well.

This will be a grousome topic as I am gonna talk about dog ticks. Everyday without fail, I am the dog massager and they LOVE it so much. It is time consuming but it is the LOVE for my dogs. I was browsing for some Natural Cure or Repellent so that my dogs are tick free the natural way instead of the Medicated Powder or Chemicals.

Picture from www.cdc.gov

I came accross this site http://www.dogticks.org/dog-ticks-natural-cures.php and extracted out this article to share with you guys.

Dog ticks are not only a menace to you and your dog, but can also cause serious health problems. For starters, they carry Lyme disease which can damage a dog’s immune system by slowly shutting down all the vital body functions. Dog ticks are eight-legged, small arachnid-like insects that attach directly to the skin. They suck incessantly on their victim’s blood up until their bodies can no longer contain it. Their favorite target is domesticated dogs.

Different powders and sprays are available on the market today to help free your dog from dog ticks. However, some of these may do harm to the health of your pet because they contain chemical-based formulas. As much as possible, you may opt to not use chemicals and go for a safer, yet highly effective approach to dog ticks.

Here are all-natural herbs that you can use on your dogs to get rid of the problem:

1. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar can be used as a bath or as an oral medication. As a bath, simply add three to four cups of apple cider vinegar to your dog’s bath. Be sure to clean your dog entirely, focusing on the paws, ears, and neck areas. Apple cider vinegar can also be added to your pet’s water. Add three tablespoons to your dog's water daily.

2. Neem Oil
Neem oil is a natural insecticide. It has both antiseptic and antibacterial properties so you can basically apply it on your dog’s body with confidence and ease. What’s more, it can repel insects like mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks.

3. Eucalyptus
If you want an all-natural insect repellent for your pet, eucalyptus can greatly help. Eucalyptus acts like a natural deodorizer and can keep ticks away because they won’t be inclined to attach to your dog.

4. Lavender
Lavender is a light-scented oil that can be used to repel ticks in dogs. When added with other essential oils such as thyme, St. John’s Wort, and base oil, your dog can experience healing, rejuvenating relief in no time. Lavender is effective against bacteria while thyme can stimulate your pet’s immune system.

Becoming increasingly conscious of the chemical contents of treatments you use for your dog is important. It’s a good thing that there are natural alternatives to chemical formulas. It is now possible to counteract dog ticks with natural remedies that are safe for everyone else and effective for your dog. Now that you know you can go natural, there is no use considering using chemical-based formulas or products at this point. The natural way is the safer way after all.
